Description
These flowers are commonly known as China Asters (Callistephus chinensis) belonging to the family Asteraceae. Not to be confused with European perennial, Aster amellus i.e. Michaelmas Daisies. Asters are one of the most valuable garden flowers because of the great colour range. These sun loving annuals are better grown in cool seasons.

- Mode of sowing: Sow the seed 0.5 cm deep in a seedling tray.
- Germination time: Germination will take place in 6 – 8 days from sowing.
- Flowering in 60 – 65 days from transplanting.
